Registration

The 13th [BC]2 will take place 12-15 September in Basel. The main conference 13-15 September will take place at the Congress Center in Basel. The Workshops and Tutorials on Tuesday 12th of September will take place at the Kollegienhaus of the University of Basel. Please use the online registration form to register for the conference, and satellite workshops and tutorials. Please note that early registration fees are valid until 20 August 2017. After the deadline, late registration fees apply. The registration deadline is Friday 1 September 2017.

Please note that online registration & payment are mandatory; on-site registration is not possible.

 

The conference registration fee includes:

  
  • Access to all conference sessions
 
  • Receipt of all conference materials
 
  • Welcome reception on Wednesday September 13th and participation to the guided tours on Thursday 14th
 
  • Lunches & coffee breaks on Wednesday September 13, Thursday September 14 and Friday September 15

The Workshop/Tutorial registration fee includes:

  
  • Access to the registered Workshop or Tutorial session
 
  • Lunch, coffee breaks on the Workshops/Tutorials day, Tuesday Sept. 12
 
  • Apéro in the evening of  the Workshops/Tutorials day, Tuesday Sept. 12

 

Registration fee does not include lodging, transportation, and dinners on Thursday Sept 14 and Friday Sept 15, 2017.

 

* Please bring your student ID card to the registration desk at conference venue.

** A number of free entries for start-ups and discounted registrations for local start-ups and small companies (less than 10 employees) are available. Please contact registration secretariat if you would like to apply.

*** Maximum one accompanying person registration can be booked in addition to a main conference registration. There is only a limited number of accompanying person registration places available due to space limitations. Bookings are on a first-come-first-served basis. Availability cannot be guaranteed.

 

Payment

 

Credit Card:

The default method to pay the registration fee is by credit card (Visa or Eurocard/MasterCard) via the online registration system. All payments are in Swiss Francs (CHF).

 

Wire transfer:

A wire transfer option is provided for participants who are not able to pay by credit card, and for SIB members. If for any reason credit card payment is not possible for you, please contact the registration secretariat to arrange for payment by wire transfer. Payment must be received in full and in Swiss Francs (CHF).

 

Your bank may charge fees for this service. Please note that all bank charges must be paid by the participant. Please indicate clearly the name of the participant, the conference ‘BC2 2017’, and the registration code you received from the secretariat in all your remittances.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Wire transfers can take up to ten business days to process. Please allow for ample time for your transfer to reach us. You are not registered for the meeting until [BC]2 receives your payment.  

VAT number:

If your institution VAT number is required on the payment receipt, you must provide your VAT number during the payment process.

 

Letter of invitation

A confirmation of registration for visa or funding purposes, will be sent to you automatically after the registration is complete (i.e. all registration fees have been received).

 

Terms and conditions

Cancellations of confirmed registrations are subject to an administrative charge of 150 CHF per participant provided the cancellation is received by August 12, 2017. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after August 12, 2017 or for no-shows. Cancellations need to be made in writing to the registration secretariat.
