[Basel Computational Biology Conference 2004]

  From Information to Simulation

Second Basel Computational Biology Conference:

From Information to Simulation
Biozentrum, University of Basel
March 18 & 19, 2004

The Basel Computational Biology Conference 2005 will take place on March 17 & 18, 2005.

From information to simulation - the motto of the second Basel Computational Biology Conference summarizes some of the key questions of life science research: How can we store, analyze and mine the huge amounts of genomics data? How can we extract the underlying information and relate it to medical or phamacological observations? How can computational simulations further our understanding of complex biological systems?

High profile speakers from pharmaceutical industry, academia, and biotech industry discussed their first-hand experience in this symposium.

The objective of this yearly meeting is to bring together like minded individuals and companies interested in the field of computational biology. The main goal of the conference is to provide a platform for informal communication and fruitful discussions between speakers and participants.
